Alliance winners celebrate
Host club Swardeston were crowned Club of the Year at the Norfolk Cricket Alliance trophy presentation evening on 16 October.
Swardeston, who field three sides in the Alliance, including a joint team with CEYMS, earned the Allan Kefford award largely from the marks awarded after every Alliance match by the umpires and captains.
Three newcomers to the Alliance were represented at the event: Halvergate and Hethersett & Tas Valley A were among the division winners, and Narborough's Paul Harwood picked up the David Gooderham batting award.
The David Crowe bowling award was won by Jeremy Elliott of Norwich & Coltishall Wanderers, and the Doug Mattocks wicket-keeping award was pouched by Garboldisham's Robert Cowburn.The awards were presented by Alliance chaiman John Tythcott.
