Sprowston secure promotion to Premier Division

Eleven matches in the Alliance were lost to the weather, but Sprowston had sunny smiles as they clinched promotion from Division One with an eight-wicket win over visitors Bradenham, who were bowled out for just 89, Biswas Pankog claiming five for 22.

Second-placed Stow had a winning draw at Sheringham with William Denning making 59no and Dammika Perera 64 of their 230 for five, Sheringham replying with 129 for seven.

In Topcroft's derby win over bottom side Beccles, James Goodfellow made an unbeaten 75 as they won by 64 runs.

In the Premier Division, Rahul Dewan made 96 for Brooke and Oli Stamp claimed four for 10 in their 116-run win at bottom club Old Buckenham.

Second-bottom Acle had a one-wicket win over visitors Cromer, Paul Newman taking five for 15 and Shaun Roberts four for 13 in a match which saw the runs total reach just 139. Cromer's Michael Warner claimed six for 32.

Lowestoft Town, in third place, won by eight wickets at fourth-placed Mallards A, Mpho Sekoto hitting 83no and Peter Sims taking five for 27.

In Division Two, Saxlingham in second spot won by 87 runs at Dereham with Will Burnell scoring 80.

For promoted Mattishall, Cameron Brown hit an unbeaten 56 as they beat visitors Swardeston B by seven wickets.

Garboldisham's Michael Hinds made 57no in his side's six-wicket win at North Runcton A, for whom Ben Coote made 68.

In Division Three, Mark Gricks hit 71 for Hethersett & TV as they beat Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway by six wickets away, Duncan Snell hitting 81 for Railway.

In Great Witchingham A's winning draw at Thetford, Michael Atkinson hit 53, and in Acle A's winning draw at Swaffham, Caleb Futter took four for 23.

In Division Four, Aldborough's relegation was confirmed when they lost at home to Old Buckenham A by seven wickets. Ben Askew made 52 for the visitors.

Norwich B's James Latimer scored 87no and Jon Burton took four for 26 as they won by eight wickets at Bradenham A. Bungay's Stuart Smith was unbeaten on 73 in their eight-wicket home win over Sprowston A.

Cromer A were confirmed Division Five champions, while Dereham A were relegated. Cromer A beat visitors Mallards B by 52 runs while Dereham A's game at Stow a was a weather victim.

Michael Warner made 106no for Brooke A and Alex Ingham 56no as they beat visitors Rocklands by eight wickets, Martin Walker making an unbeaten 115 for the visitors.

Liam Brown, for Diss A, made 89 as they had a losing draw at Hethersett & TV A, for whom Tristan Hunt was unbeaten on 52.
