Addam Todd led the way with a one-man demolition job as Downham underlined their intentions to capture a record-breaking fifth Norfolk Alliance Premier Division title in a row in the only match completed on Saturday.
Todd scored a half-century and bagged five wickets as Duncan Lanchester's reigning champions made light work of their West Norfolk neighbours in the only league match played in Norfolk on Saturday.
In a game reduced to 30 overs per side because of rain, Downham lost the toss and were invited to bat, racing to 40 from six overs before hitting trouble at 64-4.
Big-hitting Kurt Richards and Todd sparked the recovery which allowed Downham to post a 162-9 total with Todd unbeaten on 57.
Runcton raced to 28 from the first three overs, and kept up with the run rate, threatening Town's 19-game unbeaten league run. But Todd turned on the magic with the ball taking five wickets for a mere three runs and there were three catches and a stumping for wicket-keeper Rod King as Runcton collapsed to 85 all out.
The results sees Downham stay top of the table with 46 points from two games, with Acle on 30 and Cromer on 29.
